The spectacular limestone mountains behind Vence, known as baous which I painted in the strong evening light, with touches of autumnal colours. The centrepiece being the baou de St Jeannet, which is the next village. Around 500m tall at its highest, it is a great place to go climbing. Painted in watercolor on Arches watercolour paper (which has a textured surface finish). Sold without mat/mount or frame. There is an unpainted margin of about 1cm at the edge of the paper.
